Růžový sad Lidice

The Lidice Rose Garden spans 3.5 hectares at an altitude of 340 meters, located between the original and newly established Lidice. Its construction was overseen by architect František Marek, who collaborated with experts and sculptors Bedřich Stefan and Karel Hladík on the artistic decoration. The garden's design emphasizes colorful compositions and the careful arrangement of roses, considering their shape, color, and blooming period, creating an impressive appearance. The garden is wheelchair accessible. The initiative to establish the garden originated in England in 1954, and it opened in June 1955 as the Garden of Peace and Friendship. Today, it offers space rental, making it a suitable venue for various events.
