Hrad Litice

Litice Castle majestically rises on a low hill in the picturesque landscape of Eastern Bohemia. Its location is characterized by a deep bend of the Divoká Orlice river, which carves its way through vast forests, giving the entire place a unique and impressive atmosphere. This state castle is a significant historical object, founded by members of the Půtice family. During the reign of George of Poděbrady, the castle underwent extensive and costly modifications until 1468, transforming Litice into one of the foremost fortresses in Bohemia in the 15th century. It is considered a significant architectural achievement of its time.
